Any idea on the ruling of when the ball is dead?
KingPete, is is when the ref says the ball is dead. Since he (correctly) didn’t call the play the ball was still live.
I heard Graham Poll once say that the ball was considered dead once it stopped moving forward, not sure if that one should of counted. But it was very cool to see… keeper should of booted it away in celebration just to be safe.
Geez. I assume this was in a shootout (as the player didn’t even try for the rebound), but, still… DUMB DUMB DUMB.
I hope the goalie’s team lost. They deserved to after that stupidity.
