Kompany’s injury makes Citeh’s BPL title chase all the more difficult, and even the return of Tevex won’t help. AIONAI
Not `aving that, just because Tevez’s return will be the dagger in the back that destroys their chances.
Lionel Messi is proof that aliens do indeed exist
Not ‘Avin that. Lionel Messi is proof that HGH injections in and around age 10 help srengthen the body for a career as a professional athlete.
1) Chelsea will go undefeated the rest of the season and get 3rd spot.
2) Milan will best barca in the champs league
1) Not ‘Avin it.
2) Not ‘Avin it.
After watching the Coppa Italia second leg clash, Milan – Juve,….
Mexes to Mesbah was just like watching Beckham to Van Nistelrooy. AIONAI
Messi would be a fraction of the player in the Premier League. With players like Karl Henry, Cheik Tiote, Ryan Shawcross, Lee Cattermole, and other hitmen, Messi’s leg would be snapped in a month. Ronaldo owned the Prem, so I’ll take him.
Not ‘Avin that. Messi is frail, I’ll give you that, but the Premiereship is not the goon league of the football world. In order to snap Messi’s leg, they’d have to catch him first. If that were the case, then how come English sides haven’t dominated him in the Champions League?
Henry, Tiote, Shawcross, Cattermole etc.. dont play in the champs league. Guys like Alex Song and Michael Carrick do… and they dont cause the same damage as these others, I am a bit havin it, I think messi and Barca in general would find it difficult to deal with the physical nature of the prem week in, week out. Nothing like going to Stoke on a Wednesday night in January….. And i am not suggesting Stoke would beat Barca, but playing the phyical brand of football week in and out definately wears on you.
In the wake of the Peyton Manning signing…Tebow may be moving on. Who is football’s equivalent to Tim Tebow? (benevolent, cult-like figure, wins games, not that skilled)
Before he got old and sucked, Francesco Totti.
I hope Tebow ends up like Francesco Totti; old before his time, hanging on with his fervent fan base following him everywhere to watch him implode and destroy his team over and over while he blames it on everyone but himself.
I’m ‘Avin that!
With all the talks that Celtic is planning a move to the football league and speculating talks to the premier league are you Avin it or not Avin it that Celtic would be serious contenders in ethier leagues?
Not ‘Avin it in the Prem, but I don’t know much about the other league, so I can’t really comment. I just don’t think they’re used to that level of competition. A few years, however, and they might grow into a mid-table competitor.
Stefan Effenberg criticized Toni Kroos and Franck Ribery for playing “Rock, Paper, Scissors” to decide who would take a free kick in their 6 – 0 victory over Berlin. The score was 3 – 0 and already out of reach, but Effenberg stated “They were playing against a team that is fighting against relegation and for them to be joking around – this should not happen,”
Is it wrong for players to decide who takes free kicks or penalties by playing Rock Paper Scissors? (Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Marco Reus did the same thing a few matches ago.)
Not avin’ it. Absolutely nothing wrong with a little rock paper scissors to determine who takes the setpiece. It’s a classic and sometimes the only way to decide things in this world. And it’s much faster than Eeny Meeny Miny Moe ;)
But all joking aside, yes, I would understand why some would find it unprofessional and disrespectful to the other team.
FA Cup semi-finals should not be played at Wembley. They should revert to playing at neutral grounds. Seeing that the FA Cup is very prestigious (despite contrary belief), only the final should be left to play at the grandest stage.
As unfortunate and saddening as the incident regarding Fabrice Muamba is, it came at the right time and the football world needed it. At a time when there’s so much negative talk and chaos about things going on and off the pitch ie: money, spoilt players, racism, authority, scandals, bribery/fixing…..we needed it to slow things down and take a step back. Remind ourselves there are bigger and far more important things out there and that we are human beings before anything else. Football is just a game.
Del Piero is still Juventus best striker and still possibly one of the best technically gifted footballers in Italy at the age of 37.
If Di Matteo can get Torres back to scoring on a regular basis, and win Chelsea at least 1 trophy this season, Abramovich should appoint him as permanent manager for the next season.
Only if that 1 trophy is the champs league trophy…
Messi will go on to score 500+ goals in his career
APOEL will score at least one goal against Real Madrid over the two legs in their Champions League tie.
Massimo Moratti is the real problem at Inter Milan.
Milan will beat Barca over the 2 legs and Benfica will beat Chelsea. I’m predicting a Real Madrid v AC Milan final
AIONAI:
-Suarez’ pledge to stay at Liverpool is a cover up to maintain playing time until the end of this season.
-Neither Rio or Lampard will move to China to play after being offered wages of 250,000 pounds/week.
-Steve Kean should win “Manger of the Year” award
-Carlos Tevez isn’t the answer the City’s late struggles.
-Chelsea to make summer 30 million pound bid for Newcastle’s Tiote and Krul. This would be a poor decision.
-The Premier League crown will be decided when City play United.
