Earlier this week we learned Great Britain manager Stuart Pearce elected not to select David Beckham for the UK’s Olympic squad. The news generated more buzz than its worth – who doesn’t want to see Craig Bellamy destroy international togetherness with one brash tackle?
And then Becks goes and does this against San Jose. World class, vintage Beckham. I will watch that lackluster movie bearing his namesake tonight in honor of this goal.
