PSG breaks the bank

If Silvio says, it must be true.

The Parisians may not be done. Manager Carlo Ancelotti has his eye on Spurs talisman Luka Modric:

On the back of that speculation, Ancelotti has now declared his admiration for Modric, a player he knows well from his time in England with Chelsea. “I did not need to see him at the Euros to know how much talent he has,” the Italian said. “I knew his capabilities before. Now he has confirmed his high quality for those who did not know.”

Be afraid, Europe. Be very afraid.

Update: According to CNN Italian correspondent Tancredi Palmeri, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has raised his wage request to 15 million euros. The decision makers at PSG have yet to agree and are slated to meet tomorrow. A less competitive league and a team with ludicrously wealthy owners – why not shoot for the moon?

  1. dont worry milan fans, Andy Carroll will save the day. LOL

  2. Man, Ibra has now played for like a club per year for the last decade.

  3. Ibra is a CL curse anyway better for Milan! Now they should get Balotelli to AC to play with Cassano! Or sign Giuseppe Rossi! Bring back the Italians to SerieA

  4. Not sure why evryone is so excited about the Ibra part of this deal. Any Milan fan will tell you they’re more disappointed that Silva’s leaving

  5. Anytime a club offers tens of millions for a 30 year old you have to sell. Those players are only a few years away from being worth nothing.

  6. Kind of relieved that the “Arsenal sucks” headlines can die down, if only for a day.
Fascinated by FFP. I mean, it has to have teeth, doesn’t it?

Condoning this outrageous spending as “part of the game” is as unjust as letting the crooked bankers go free for their role in the Global Financial Crisis. Unfortunately, I think the money men are going to get away with it in both cases.

  7. Nesta and Silva gone, who is left other than Mexes that can play up to Serie A standards on AC Milan backline?

This must be a salary dump more than anything.
