How Canadian soccer hires its key positions.
Do you have what it takes? From the ad:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in, and knowledge of, soccer at the domestic and international levels, both amateur and professional, with proven coaching and scouting experience, and a demonstrated record as a sports educator. The incumbent will have success as a sport leader with excellent management, administrative, and financial skills, complemented by strong consultative, facilitation and decision-making skills.

I’m going to apply because maybe nobody else will and they’ll hire me by default.
Benjamin you wouldn’t have a chance…they would hire Dunlop over you :)
I’ll lie and say I’m from Toronto.
Richard i think this is right up your alley. You would even have to make a fake resume. Shit Even Dunlop could get it.
I was going to say, this ad simply REEKS of KJ. I always felt better educated after a visit to Formation Geek Stadium. .
Having had family who were involved with the OSA & CSA for over a decade I can tell you EXACTLY why Canadian Soccer struggles.
Both organizations are bastions of rampant cronyism and nepotism. Unless you are in the right ‘camp’ or clique, your ideas fall on deaf ears, and little – if any – ears are given to local associations.
Only those from major city centres are considered in the development programs of the OSA & CSA – negating the talent across the country. The CSA needs to take a page from Baseball Canada in how to grow the game at the grass-roots level – to develop talent & skills – not just increase registration numbers.
Baseball Canada has the framework in place to develop talented kids from small to medium size cities across Canada – and indeed many of the top talent has come from these areas that are forgotten by the CSA.
