Junior Hoilett signs for QPR

Here he is waiting to sign his contract, apparently. So, in theory, at least according to his agent dad David Sr., this should also be the moment when Hoilett makes his national team decision. Anyway, perhaps not the high class option some believed was waiting for him:

Sky Sports contends he’s a “Canadian forward.” We’ll see.

  1. I wish Arsene would have jumped on Junior, Not only because I really do feel he will choose canada to play for but because he is world class. Some games last season he showed what type of player he is and wow can he strike a ball. He would’ve fit in nicely with Arsenal. Now QPR have him. They are looking like a middle of the pack team this year who could upset a few. What do the guys think about junior signing for QPR?

    • I’m sorry but Junior Hoilett is NOT world class. That term gets thrown around way too much. I agree we need help but Hoilett is not the answer for us. We need to re-sign v.Persie to a long term contract, get ready of dead weight like Chamakh, Bendtner, Squillaci, and Diaby, pick up a top rate central defender, and hope for a quick recovery by Wilshire.

      NOT HOILETT

      • Hoilett is not word class YET, but compared to last year’s Arsenal team only van persie and walcott had more goals then Hoilett. Wouldn’t say he’s not good enough for Arsenal.

  2. I thought he had already signed with Borussia Moenchengladbach?

  3. He hasn’t signed anywhere yet. British media is awful…this report is from Sky Sports…I’m not saying it won’t happen, but they report a lot of possible signings. There is no word from team, agent, or Hoilet. I thought Borussia Mor….was still the front runner, but that might be BS too. He seems to like England. Hopefully he will sign somewhere soon and committ to Canada in time for our world cup qualifying.

  4. Bor. M’gladbach signed Luuk de Jong yesterday. So Hoilett is not a option anymore.

    • Who says so? The only reason why Junior wouldn’t be an option for Mönchengladbach is because they’ve spent over 34 million Euros on a couple players not because of “room.”
BMG have made it apparent that both de Jong and Hoilett were transfer targets.
Regardless, think it would be better for both Junior and Canada if he played in the Bundesliga, plus he’d get that Champions League experience (albeit BMG win the playoff tie) that is so coveted by the modern player. Good for Canda because he might fall out of the English eye.
