We’ve got Football’s equivalent of an Ump show at the Hawthorns going right now. Daniel Agger was sent off in the 58th minute for taking down Shane Long in the box. By ‘taking down’ I mean slightly brushing the back of Long, who in turn went down incredibly easily. In the end justice prevailed, sort of:

Terrible. The Football gods had it in for Liverpool on this day unfortunately. West Brom was awarded another penalty six minutes later – thanks to another dubious decision by referee Phil Dowd – after Martin Skrtel nicked the heel of Long. Peter Odemwingie converted to make it 2-0. Romelu Lukaku has added a third in the 76th minute. Not an auspicious debut for Brendan Rodgers.

  1. Questionable decisions? Questionable blog…….

  2. Well, can you put a video of the foul too so we can judge the call as well?

    • Initially I had video for the foul, but the user took it down. Unfortunately my search for another clip of similar quality has been futile.
