Brooks Peck over at Dirty Tackle points out a certain Jimmy Carter-esque malaise in Joe Bennett’s initial photo shoot for Villa, and his Twitter account is hardly a bubbling cauldron of “I Finally Made It!” team boosterism:

Which is at least classier than the usual “I’m so proud to join a club with such a rich history headed by an ambitious manager with star players blah blah blah” that thinly insults the old company. But come on man! You’re in the Premier League now, son. N’Zog’s a party animal! And Birmingham isn’t that far from London.
