The Canadian Soccer Association press release reads rather alarmingly:

Less than an hour after the Canada team arrived at the hotel in Panama City – a large hoard (sic) of Panamanian fans stakes themselves directly outside of the hotel and started trying to intimidate the team using fireworks, drums, hoking horns and laser pointers.

The actual video footage, one of which is seen above, isn’t exactly stuff of flares, sound cannons, poisoned food in the hotel, and bags of urine thrown at the corner flag. As Stephen Hart himself notes, it’s standard fare for CONCACAF, part of the reason it’s one of the more difficult regions to forge through to the Hex.

All in all, it looks kind of fun. Even Milan Borjan admits it’s kind of awesome. Second video including after the jump.
