It’s not even close. People need to stop comparing ronalda to Messi then this whole nonsense debate can be put to rest. There’s no comparing anyone to Messi. In 2012, Messi scored more goals, more quality goals, more assists, more quality assists, won more trophies all with a smile on his face. Also, no where in the ballon d’or requirements DOES IT SAY THAT ONE NEEDS TO WIN SAID # OF TROPHIES.
ronalda scores a lil breakaway goal vs Barcelona from an amazing Ozil pass and everyone thinks he’s amazing. ronalda AT MOST FACES UP TO 1-2 PLAYERS AT A TIME.
MESSI CONSTANTLY FACES 3-4 PLAYERS FOR 90+ MINUTES AND STILL DOMINATES EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. OF. THE. YEAR.
That comment is ridiculous. Why can’t you not enjoy watching arguably the two greatest players of their generation play beautiful football? It is sad how people love trashing either of those two players when they have given the entire world all they can on the football pitch for the last couple of years. It’s better to just keep comments to yourself, unless sounding like an arrogant prick is what you were going for.
Because ronalda isn’t CLOSE to being the “best” of this generation. Casillas, Xavi, Iniesta, are all MUCH more impressive than him. He doesn’t play beautiful football, his team works their ass’s off so he can shoot from 50 yards 5 times a game to “show he’s better than Messi”.
Take Iniesta for example. People think that you need a combination of strength, pace, and skill to get past a player, LET ALONE 3-4 (ESPECIALLY AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL). However, DOES INIESTA HAVE PACE? NO. DOES HE HAVE STRENGTH? NO.
THEN HOW THE HELL DOES HE GHOST PASS PLAYERS LIKE HE DOES??? His skill, vision, technique and balance is unprecedented. MUCH MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN ronalda’s SHAVED LEG.
Messi’s legacy shouldn’t be tarnished by being compared to anyone, let alone to that useless player that is gaynaldo.
