Ah the dirty contradictions of the modern game. With a certain section of Arsenal fans falling over themselves for Arsene Wenger to spend like a Lehman Brothers exec on an August afternoon in 2008, Manchester City’s MEGABUCKS STRIKE FORCEā„¢ remind the world that money can’t bu you wins, or manners when it comes to the mixed zone at an overseas football match.

This video isn’t embeddable (and is preceded by a revealing Dutch shampoo commercial that reminds North American audiences that Europe is a different place indeed), but the badly translated Dutch caption is “142 million chagrin runs a round”, which Leander Schaekerlaens clarifies means, “142 million euros worth of cranky strikers walks through the mixed zone.”

And really Arsenal, this is what you’d be buying into. Moneyed prima donnas clawing past one another in a contest for who can be the biggest asshole to assembled members of the foreign press.

Balotelli wins hands down, by the way.

    • Keep trying ,you’ll get it eventually…and it’s worth the effort.

Silly of the Dutch reporters to try to get those guys’ attention by speaking English…they only work in the country after all.

  3. It proves that the players at Man City are a bunch of sore losers, especially Balotelli…disgusting!
