After missing several chances throughout the match, Clint Dempsey salvaged a point for Spurs at White Hart Lane — Deuce scored the match winner in September at Old Trafford. Robin Van Persie pushed United ahead early, finishing off a wonderful passing play from Carrick, Welbeck and Cleverley. United’s lead over City now sits at five while Spurs solidify their fourth place position.

  1. What a game. Spurs played very well throughout – they deserved at least a draw.

I have said it before – they are one quality striker away from being a top calibre side.

  2. Spurs deserved the win today, and would have had it if not for De Gea and an improved defensive performance by United. Thanks to RvP as well for scoring on the only real chance United had all game.

  3. deuce not duece

  4. I thought it was a good first half from United, but, like many times before, they started to sit back and invited pressure and were punished. Kudos to De Gea who kept it from being something like 3-1 to Spurs.

All credit to Spurs, especially in the second half, they might feel unlucky not to win, and deserved at least a draw.

Thought there might have been a foul on Rooney in the box, but these those things happen.
