For those of you not well versed in Turkish, Wesley Sneijder will join Galatasaray. The Dutch midfielder heads to Turkey on a three and a half year deal worth €5 million per season. Inter Milan accepted an offer of €7.5 million. Sneijder will look to start over after a tumultuous period that saw him banished from Inter’s starting lineup.

  1. him and robben at the wc 2010 really got me into soccer and now it’s gonna be even harder to see him play. FUCK

  2. No surprise here. Sneijder didn’t really have any other viable options.

For Inter however, this was handled very badly. United were willing to pay triple what Inter have now settled with in terms of a transfer fee for him.

    • Not sure about facts, but I read/heard during the last year or two, when there was a lot of talk about him moving to Manchester, that United had agreed to a fee with Inter, but they couldn’t agree on a contract with Sneijder cuz his wage demands were too high. Somewhere in the 150-200k a week range.

  3. Well, he’s buried himself in the Turkish league over money – pretty lame. I would’ve loved to see him in the EPL.
