  1. We’ve drawn Fenerbahce as our qualifier, which could be a little crazy. UEFA banned Fenerbahce from the competition for a domestic match-fixing scandal, but Fener appealed the decision. Both parties await the ruling of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which is due….AFTER the qualifying matches!

So what happens if Fener beat us but are ruled ineligible for the tournament? Would that mean we advance regardless? Hopefully we just beat them and remove all doubt, but I think Fener are the toughest draw; maybe PSV, who will play AC Milan.

  2. Also, this whole Suarez thing makes me want to vomit. If he ends up staying, I hope there’ll be some epic Breaking Bad style bad behaviour from him.

Suarez bites and racially abuses people when he’s happy. There’s no telling what he’s capable of when he’s been scorned. This saga is not over.
