  1. Yikes.

Your “top” and “bot” are mixed up – Jays were at home (unfortunately).

  2. Gotta love that Mathis’ WPA as a pitcher is better than most of the actual pitchers. What a train wreck…

  3. Of all the things to be pissed off about during this game, you know what was the worst for me? Adam Lind whiffing on three straight pitches out of the strike zone in the 9th inning. I know they’re not going to come back to win, but hey – how bad would it really be for this fat fuck bag-of-shit hitting clean-up and given all the chances in the world to actually show a bit of effort, to show a little bit like he actually gives a shit? I’d be very happy to never see Adam Lind in a Jays uniform again. He’s just embarrassing to watch.

  4. Steeper slope than Niagara Falls

  5. Replace those beers with handles of vodka and you’re getting close

  6. haha mathis pitched?

    • Yup. And once again he did it better than the real pitchers. I hope he just gives them shit when that happens. I’m sure he doesn’t though…

      • He pitched better because he wasn’t shaking off his own calls

        • Haha ya no kidding. But I guess when your only pitch is the BP fastball it’s kind of a moot point. Which makes it all the more depressing…

  7. You know you were out of it early when the highest leverage PA was the first one of the game. Shit game all around.

  8. I had to turn the game off when it reached something like 12-0. Just brutal. Dog days of summer I guess.

  9. somehow these charts always make me feel better, no matter the outcome. it’s probably the jokes.

    thanks for the good work.

  10. I’m struck by the notion that the Jays did basically nothing after the 2nd inning to alter the slope of the graph.

    • Well, the graph probably was altered by ten thousandths of a percentage point. You’d just have to zoom in REALLY close to notice.

  11. Your graphs are by far the best thing to come out of this season so far!

    Thanks!

  12. If ever a game that a team could have a negative chance of winning, it was this one..
Thank god it is only one game. Just wish we could have a series without an injury

  13. i was at this shit show of a baseball game last night… it was surreal. it got to the point where my friend and i were making side bets as to the pathetic-ness of the jays… at one point my friend bet that the jays’ half of the inning wouldn’t last longer than 4 minutes, and he was RIGHT. one of the innings was, i think 3.5 minutes.
i think it was the top of the 2nd inning with one out for about 35 minutes… or at least it certainly felt that way

  14. Why did you make this?
