  1. I think Moises Sierra with the highest WPA shows how the defensive scoring is broken.

    He went 0-2 with 2 k’s and a walk. His one outfield assist was a missed cutoff where Alvarez picked up the throw and got the guy at third with a run scoring. He may have had another assist early in the game at home plate (didn’t see a replay) but had a bad transfer that led to the close play anyways.

  2. And I dont fault Henderson Alvarez for his bad rating. Because with the loss of the family member, I understand wanting to play, but with this season already being a wash throw cecil or Jenkins out there and go spend time with your family.
