Oh, great. It’s CC Sabathia. That should totally work out great for a Jays club looking to build on last night’s moral victory, or whatever you want to call a halfway decent start, for once, from Ricky Romero, coupled with yet another brutal output from the club’s hitters, save for Adeiny Hechavarria, as long as you’re going to look past his two strikeouts.

Uhh… I don’t know, at least it’s afternoon baseball, I guess.

Scuttlebutt

At Sportsnet, Shi Davidi doesn’t pull any punches about how much is riding on surgeon Dr. Thomas Graham, as he gets set to repair Jose Bautista’s wrist.

Davidi notes in a tweet that bullpen coach Pete Walker is filling in as pitching coach, with Bruce Walton away from the club for the birth of his baby. Wait… how old is Walton?

Um… yeah.

  1. nice catch colby

  2. Cleatus!

I bet Buck and Tabby were talking about his hunting down that ball, tracking it with his eyes….lqtm

  3. We pitching around Jeter?

  4. 2 quick ones…love it!

  5. The Lyon sleeps (well) tonight.

  6. So no Jeter in the 9th…If you’re Farrell do you go with Loup or Oliver to face Cano? Or just let Casey face all 3?

    • Thank God I’m not Farrell, so I can temporize and cleverly avoid answering your question until I see how it plays out. Stay tuned.

  7. Say what you want about McCoy but he’s a good baserunner.

  8. I figure a lil looper by the real mcccoy & then a blast by encarnation….it’d .be the play w/ the most moxie.

  9. …but an error, intent pass then a blam by Lind, be real moxie-rific too.

  10. That constipation commercial makes me sick. Especially the part that purple shit is moving.

  11. There’s no moxie in constipation at all, i can tell you right now.

  12. Yoonel needs to show some real moxie with this at bat.

  13. Yes Yescobar!!!

  14. YES-cobar!! The guy is good!

  15. the mark of a hot hitter: yunel hitting everything.

  16. WOW

  17. Derek LOLwe

  18. Esco-moxie-bar.

  19. “In play, run(s)”

Three sweetest words in the gameday language.

  20. HAHAHAHA. Shit Happens.

  21. You rang????

  22. Just retire now Andruw! I dont like their chances in the playoffs with that guy.

  23. HE HIT KELLY??

This truly is Christmas in August. Free bases for everyone!

  24. love watching the yankee feed and hearing the shock and indignation in Kay’s voice: how dare the Yankees lose to a team like the Jays!

    • Kay is just as bad as buck

      • i disagree: i’d say buck is the most unlistenable announcer this side of the White Sox’s Hawk. He provides almost no relevant or not obvious information, he places the wrong emphasis on almost every syllable, and has a ‘breezy’ style which provokes alternate fits of ennui and viscous anger. Kay is just an entitled prick who can at least provide some useful information in an entertaining fashion once in awhile.

  25. They’re supposed to be objective but they just cant hide it. It’s fun to watch.

    • I would agree with you if they worked for a large supposedly neutral network fox, espn what have you…but if they broadast on the team’s network, then objectiveness is not really expected.

  26. FUCK YEAH !!! That is SOOOOO Great!!

    LOVE beating those assholes!

  27. SOOOOOO Nice! SOOOOOO Fine!

  28. I like Casey

  29. Fuck you, Yankees.

  30. yeah the road trip was 2-6, but we took the series from the fucking yankees so – beers all around! go yunel!

  31. Lottta moxie by the Jays in this series.

  32. Fuck off Michael Kay – Jays are 5-6 vs Stanks this year – you know what Mike, the Stankees just aren’t that good when injured – this is your future fuckface

    • What the fuck did that idiot say?

      • this is a series you can’t lose . . . the Yankees go 3 and 3 against the dregs of the American League, Cleveland and Toronto and now the competition goes up a level . . . . blah blah blah

(hey I get it, we would be pissed if the Jays were in 1st and just lost a series at home to the last place team, can’t wait for that feeling)

  33. And this game is OHVAH!!

…that was for all my fans on DJF.

  34. THat strange sound you hear is the weeping and gnashing of teeth out of the Bronx

  35. Ahhhhhhhh yeeeeeeeee. Fuck Tank Nation, feels awesome to beat the fucking Yankees and that fat pyjama-wearing slob Sabathia. And Yunel, I’m sorry I was mean, could you please go on a crazy hot streak and net us Trevor Bauer? Pretty please?

  36. Always nice to beat the Yankees in a series, in the Bronx, taking the rubber match from Sabathia.

The Yanks sphincters get a little bit tighter….

  37. How nice! I had to ‘watch’ the damn thing on GameDay but really satisfying to take two out of three and Janssen is looking good out there!
