Last night performance was incredible but let’s not forget two things. Couple of hanging breaking balls that he got away with it and a very liberal strike zone.
Don’t get me wrong I like the guy. All I’m saying is that there might be some nights that all those strike outs become BBs. And if that happens, doesn’t mean that he is a shitty pitcher. Just temper your expectation folks.

I thought I heard Carlos or Mathis mention how they may have discovered that hanging a top of the zone slider was actually quite effective and they might occasionally use it as a weapon. I’m not sure if last nights were by design but the way Carlos is you have to wonder.
I’d still rather have Carlos as the swingman, and #6 starter.

I could live with Carlos as our no 5 guy. He’s certainly better than fukstick Drabek who should be in AA learning how to get COMMAND of his fuckin pitches and not walk 5 guys in half a game so the bullpen has to come in all the time.
Alvarez has become a nice batting practice pitcher now that the whole league knows he has just one pitch-send him off in a package somewhere and go with CV and HApp
