Podcast The Sixty-Fifth!

Now a little something to kill time on a Monday afternoon: it’s the DJF podcast!

And today we’ve got just Drew and I, with no one filling in for the hopelessly disinterested Wally Pippp, as we reflect on the weekend that was, Paul Beeston’s comments, the team’s draft strategy, we hand out some half-assed Gibbers and Griffins, and more!

If you’re more inclined to download today’s podcast, hit up the mp3 link.

The DJF iTunes page remains up and running, so get on over there and subscribe– or update the subscription you already have to find the latest episode (once it’s up). You can also find it via our podcast RSS feed. Follow DJF on Facebook, too, while you’re at it.

Oh, and we still want to hear from you! Call us (hammered) at 1-855-FOUL-TIP, or email us (hammered) at GettingBlanked@theScore.com with whatever is sticking in your craw, and we’ll dissect the best the Monkey Army has to offer!

Mintmusical interludes courtesy Toronto’s own Optical Sounds. Be sure to check them out and buy every single fucking thing you hear at their site.

  1. Do for my approach Reyes. Try to get Kawasaki though, but I doubt that can happen.

  2. ESPN has me ranked a middle-of-the-pack #12 CF:

I am SO slightly above average.

    • He says he could have argued for Matt Kemp as number one if he wasn’t injured, so… I’m not taking that too seriously.

      Also: From 2012.

  3. We just got the internet in Georgia, and my Webcrawler search engine is a bit behind…

    Whats your ICQ number Stoeten???

    • ICQ is no longer a popular form of chat, at least in North America. I just do my chat through Facebook and/or email. Between the two I’m pretty much covered.

  4. side note, is the92jays you Stoeten on reddit?

  5. Hilarious podcast. gj yadda yadda

  6. For anyone heading to Cleveland for this series – see ya there. Hopefully we get all the games in, but I’m gettin out of this town before it floats away.

  7. Hey Stoeten,

I still don’t get what your beef with the Beest is? (This is in response to the “crazy sauce” line, “how’s the koolaide guys” remark, and “how can he tell the future” podcater)

If you take the “win this year, or the next…(etc)” quote in context with what he said both the sentence before and after it’s reasonably clear that he’s talking about continuing to investing in the team until they achieve they’re goal of playoffs and sustained goodness. Seriously, be reasonable, go easy on cherry picking quotes, and understand that he was having a conversation. Sure the guy talks funny, but you’re just catching on to that now?

He ok’d to spend hard on the draft before the old CBA expired.

He ok’d the lock up and took on the risk of signing they’re (at the time) core players(JB,EE,BM,RR).

He ok’d the major salary add ons in the off season.

They’re fixing up that dinosaur of a multi purpose stadium. Sure we want grass now, but it will come, and the windows patio is great.

He’s not interfering with his GM (at least from what we know), and letting the guy make a case for good baseball ops moves (btw, grow a pair and post that AA is an idiot piece)

He got the AAA team out of fucking Vegas and into Buffalo.

He got minor league ball in Van, and from what you posted last week has Ottawa in the works.

The payroll is in the top 10 and said in the interview yesterday that they would add if it makes sense.

Despite your personal disappointment of the 2013 Jays so far, it is clear, to me, and anyone who suffered through the austerity of the Paul Godfrey era that this organization is headed in the right direction.

    • Grammar mistakes aside, I agree. Well said.

      • Re: Grammar

        Agreed, I butchered it.

It’s amazing what a wireless keyboard with low batteries, an auto correct that has terrible intuition, dismay that an author that has been on the better side of most issues with the Jays is who the fuck knows where, and a lack of a first cup of coffee will create.

        Thanks for looking past it.

  8. At this time I am ready to do my breakfast, afterward having my
breakfast coming yet again to read more news.
