Now a little something to kill time on a Thursday afternoon: it’s the DJF podcast!

And today we’ve got just Drew and I, with no one filling in for the hopelessly disinterested Wally Pippp, as we talk about Mark DeRosa, the August waiver process, clubhouse chemistry, Josh Johnson, J.P. Arencibia and more!

If you’re more inclined to download today’s podcast, hit up the mp3 link.

The DJF iTunes page remains up and running, so get on over there and subscribe– or update the subscription you already have to find the latest episode (once it’s up). You can also find it via our podcast RSS feed. Follow DJF on Facebook, too, while you’re at it.

Oh, and we still want to hear from you! Call us (hammered) at 1-855-FOUL-TIP, or email us (hammered) at with whatever is sticking in your craw, and we’ll dissect the best the Monkey Army has to offer!

  1. Where’s zubes? Need mc d talk

  2. Wow, love that you kind of acknowledged that DeRosa “may” be a positive influence on the team.

But still want you to prove that you have any knowledge about how many teams put in a claim on anyone.

That the virgin John Hymen would have anymore knowledge about the amount of teams that made a claim on Derosa seems comical. Why would he solely be the media member that has access to this mythical MLB Revocable Waiver Claiming “Database”.

    • Stop being an idiot, please.

      • You just called me an idiot for asking you to prove how YOU know only one team made a claim on DeRosa when MLB doesn’t release that information?

Is that a go to thing when someone calls bullshit on your bullshit?

The lowest team in the standings gets the claim on the player, that’s all anyone knows. Years later a team can say “I had a claim in on Bautista if the Jays let him slide” but this is never released by MLB.

So again, prove me wrong. And try it without using the word idiot.

  3. Try to name the players in that picture.

i got three or four depending on if that is arencibia in the back left.

  4. At first glance I honestly thought this was a picture taken from a rehab assignment or in September as i completely forgot what those 3 shit bumms (Mathis, Mccoy, Cooper) all look like.

  5. I died at “DH him” “Shut up”

  6. Ryan Raburn would be a good paltoon player for what you guys are talking about. Plays outfield and 2nd base.

  7. You have to get Jerry to re-record that opening. It’s; you’re listening to THE Drunk Jays Podcast. Sounds awful and it’s annoying as shit.

  8. Great podcast I am gonna save this one

  9. What was the deal with going to the A’s games this weekend? I’m heading down there this weekend. Just curious.

  10. I have not heard any drunk calls on the FOUL TIP line in….forever.
