  1. “…strengthen his Ajax attack…” by bringing in Mido…if they had said “beef up his Ajax attack” I would have let that slide. The guy can’t even control his weight let alone a proper through ball. Where are the classic strikers of old that Ajax used to create internally?

I like the comment on the article about Marquez going to the Red Bulls… “Marquez’ presence _ plus being the only team in MLS with three Designated Players, plus a general anti-New York sentiment _ could well make the Red Bulls the big-market team that other clubs’ fans love to hate. Which of course is a good thing for the league; hatred always trumps apathy. “
