After the recent moves of Ac Milan they should be a lock to finish within the top 4. I can’t believe Molinaro said that.
Man does Ibra ever look like a pedophile in that picture. Milans backline is still looking shaky and Real Madrid proved last year you can’t win on offensive superstars alone. Allegri will have his hands full with egos, or the development of Pato. Can’t really fit all of them in a formation, but with a 4-3-3 they could have Pirlo, Gatusso, Boateng behind wingers Ibra and Robinho/Ronaldinho with Pato in the striker slot, similar
to what Mancini is doing at City. No doubt I think they are Inters biggest competiton for the scudetto now though you can’t count out Roma for a run. They could even do some serious damage in the CL as they usually do better in Europe than domestically. Amelia is a question mark also, guy was mediocore at Palermo then went to Genoa and was
quite trash.
Now that I have listened, I will say there were two points from Mr.Molinaro that I greatly disagree with. First off, Milan not in the top 4. They really didn’t lose anyone of importance, only improved. Yes, Juve (though as a Juve fan I think you guys overestimated their moves) have improved, though they only really built a foundation. I highly, highly doubt we go from 7th to 1st or 2nd, 4th is the most realistic option. Once and if we get into the CL we can use the allure of the CL and extra funds to keep the players that impress, and then go hard at Dzeko and/or Pazzini. Maybe a left back if De Ceglie can’t improve his defense, though I want to see what Traore can do, he is 20 so lots of room for growth. Annnnyway, other teams like Genoa improved, but they had a solid mercato last year too and couldn’t find any form. IMO Palermo is the biggest challenger for 4th.
Second was the point of Molinaro. At Juve defense was not an issue, he was actually pretty solid, but his offense was horrendous. Couldn’t cross a ball worth shit, and you should check out his backheel fail where he kicks himself in the shins and bails. De Ceglie is the opposite, but it’s tendency in Italy to switch wingers to defense and teach them how to defend, it’s easier to teach defense than offense, that’s why I will keep
my hope up for PDC and Traore who I believe has played winger so would have to have offense potential but lack a bit on defense.
Derrick – If Gattuso starts more than 10 league games this season I will not be happy. It is quite clear that he has lost any kind of pace he ever had and that makes his tackles late. Late tackles equal cards and that forces him to play more cautious or get sent off. Nothing symbolizes this more than a match last year where Gattuso came on as a sub with Milan needing a goal. While wearing the armband he was sent off minutes later.
Gattuso should be nothing more than a bit player from here on out with Milan, since they can’t find anyone to buy him. Not starting and only coming on when Milan have a 2 goal lead and are sitting back.
Ambrosini, Flamini and Strasser should all get more time than Gattuso.
