How quickly 500 shows go by… It’s been about four and a half years since The Footy Show Podcast first hit your iPod and on today’s show, James Sharman, Kristian Jack, Thomas Dobby & Brendan Dunlop take a real look back at the evolution to a radio show and further evolution to an even better podcast.
The Godfather of it all, Joe Ross even stops by to share some memories and longtime contributor Sean Keay comes down from his comfy social media office to talk about how the ways we interact with YOU have evolved and grown as well.
From your emails, to bits & bobs, to some timely debates and entertaining un-football related banter, we listen back to some of the best moments in Footy Show Podcast history.

Easily the finest sports podcast today. Congrats on your 500th episode boys. To another 500 more…
As I’m listening, the debut of the David Luiz story has me on the floor.
Congrats on the 500th Pod,
Keep up the fantastic work
Congratulations on the 500th show, guys! Really enjoy your insight as well as all the jokes loool and will definitely be listening well into the future! You guys are awesome and James’ speech and also what KJ said really are the reasons why I continuously listen in. It’s a good balance of professionalism as you both said, and being a passionate fan and that’s great! Keep on keepin’ on :)
What you were talking about with random people liking the world cup is why I like Euro soooo much better… mostly only actual fans wanna talk about it and you dont have to deal with all your friend who don’t know shit that are all Brazil, Germany or Argentina fans….
Congratulations guys!! You’d think you’d get tired of listening to the same people talk almost everyday via podcasts, but nope! I look forward each and everyday for these. Thank you for the first 500, I hope there’s another 500 on the way. Because of you guys, there is hope that at least something sports related in the city of Toronto can be successful. Keep up the great work!
Cheers!
Congrats on the 500th podcast guys! I have really enjoyed listening to you guys each and every week. Always a good balance of incite and entertainment. Keep up the good work, and hopefully there will be another 500 podcasts to come (if not more).
Amazing guys! I’m glad that you boys are following the growth of soccer in this country since day 1. Keep it going. I’m really hoping to see you guys in studio one day as a young new intern…would be a great experience. I love being around passionate individuals who do what ye do!
Well done lads, hats off!
Michael
Hey congrats on the 500th podcast! Im a huge fan and i hope for much more!
thanks for everything
Congrats on the 500th podcast boys! Cheers to many more and keep on doing what you guys do.
Thanks for everything!
Congratulations guys! Im so happy to hear joe on the pod. This made my month! Cheers boys may another 500 sneak up just as quick.
You made my life bearable for the past 4 years. You’ve gotten me through the lows by talking about the sport we love and making me laugh during times I shouldn’t have been. For this, all I can say is “Thank You.”
Congrats on reaching the big 5-0-0; I’ve enjoyed following along, been with you since the beginning.
That intro had me, up until Kerlon was mentioned.
Keep up the good work.
Kerlon was signed by inter and went on loan to Brailian clubs
Great job guys! Congrats
You guys have the best pod cast ever
Sean Keay! Can we have the Footy Show Podcast be broadcast on YouTube? I think it’s cool when the Footy Show TV segment advertises the Podcast and shows brief clips from the room as the boys are recording. It would be awesome to view the whole podcast as a video, or sections of the podcast as videos on YouTube!
If it’s “the Score FC”, what the clubs nickname? The Reds? The Hardcore? I typed “the Score FC” into a random name generator, and these were the results:
Alcohooligans; Canadian Legends; and the Score FC Champions
Absolutely brilliant that Joe Ross has gone from player to chairman, only a matter of time before the fans start to call for his head, “ROSS OUT, ROSS OUT”.
Don’t change your style for anyone boys, I wouldn’t appreciate your level of commitment or trust the football knowledge if you didn’t wear your clubs badge on your chest, loud and proud. Mind you, Punners would have a bigger chest than Larissa Riquelme to fit all those badges, but nevertheless, I love the show, keep up the good work in 2012.
