Not to worry Footy Show faithful, we didn’t forget today was Wednesday. This edition of ‘Take Your Kick’ was dominated by the shocking news that Fabio Capello had resigned as England manager, just minutes before we jumped in the studio.

We got to a slew of questions from the footballing world though, and JT was already going to be a topic of conversation. TFC and Canadian National Team defender Adrian Cann joined us in studio and had quite a few laughs with James Sharman, Kristian Jack and Thomas Dobby who did whatever they could to earn the most meaningless points from Dunlop. Follow @AdrianCann on twitter.

Steve Kean’s successful future at Ewood Park, the MLS schedule, Neymar’s century mark at the age of 20 and even our long time celebrity crushes were discussed.

Listener discretion is advised. The David Seaman movie collection has a few more titles…sorry.

The former US international and ‘Footy 100‘ contributor had a interesting take on Andre Villas Boas’ time so far at Chelsea and is excited for Euro 2012 to kick off in the country of his birth.

James Sharman & Brendan Dunlop chat with Serie A commentator Paul Visca following another interesting weekend in the Serie A. There may have been a lack of goals from the top teams, but there were enough goals in Rome and elsewhere to make the scudetto and Champions League place races very interesting.

As Visca explains, all is not well in the AC Milan dressing room, Inter have plenty of questions that remain to be answered and Juventus seem to be the model that everyone wants to get to.

The day after transfer deadline day James Sharman, Kristian Jack & Thomas Dobby have less exciting deals to talk about than they would’ve hoped for. Dunlop throws out a slew of football questions but somehow the conversations have more to do with childrens’s TV, Aussie 90′s teen soaps and YouTube videos and ScoreMobile FC’s Jerrad Peters was along for the ride. We hope he’ll want to join us again.

Cup fever took over Monday’s podcast as James Sharman, Kristian Jack, Thomas Dobby and a stuffy nosed Brendan Dunlop recapped a wild weekend that saw United dumped from another competition.

The Villa boys hesitantly relive their Sunday morning nightmare, the magic of the FA Cup is debated and somehow a comparison of Jose v Fergie emerges leading the crew to debate whether or not Jose would be quitting on Real if he leaves at season’s end in pursuit of greener pastures.
