EA Sports put out a teaser picture yesterday with a new logo to commemorate the franchise’s 25-year anniversary. Today, they released some more information. Here are some key notes from the press release:

  • The game will be referred to as “Madden NFL 25”, not “Madden 14”
  • A bracket of 32 all-time NFL legends and 32 current NFL players will go head-to-head against each other to decide who gets to be on the cover.
  • Voting will be done through ESPN.com, starting on March 11th, 2013
  • It’ll be out for both the XBOX 360 and the PlayStation 3 on August 27th, 2013 for $59.99

  1. Gonna get awkward when they’re putting together the Madden for 2024-25.

    • by then kids won’t know who madden is and they’ll probably just change the name of the game, hell kids probably don’t know who he is anyway.

  2. According to Benard Pollard, football may not exist by than.

  3. I will wait for Madden 25(2)

  4. I don’t give a shit who’s on the cover or any other new features just put offline multiplayer franchise mode back on

    • I agree. My brother works in a major music/video store, and most customers say that they wish Madden would put the OFF-LINE FRANCHISE back on the system. I’ve played and bought madden yearly for over 15 years. This is the first year I sold it back half way through the year. The game was a big pain in the………. And I will never purchase a new one again, unless the OFF-LINE Franchise mode returns. They are just playing to corporate monies which I think they have more than enough of.
