No news has been announced yet of who won the NHL 14 Cover Vote, but this is what the covers will look like, whoever wins. One important thing of note: at E3 last week, this banner of Brodeur (below) was displayed at the EA Sports booth, but none of Bobrovsky. Not sure if EA Sports was sending a message with that, or if they just forgot to put up a poster of Bobrovsky. I’m thinking it’s not the latter.
These last couple days have been E3 hangover, but we have a bunch of info about NCAA Football 14 news, so we’ll put it all in one post. First of all, let’s talk about the demo. It’s set to arrive next week Tuesday (June 18) for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. You’ll be able to play a full game with 3 minute quarters, but the teams you’re able to use haven’t been announced yet.
This is not a major deal, but the EA Sports team has focused on the uniform degradation throughout the game. This screenshot below shows off their realistic approach to what it’s like playing on grass in inclement weather:
Now for the gameplay. OS took a vid of their E3 experience playing NCAA, so give it a watch to see actual gameplay footage:
Tradition Football got an early look at ratings for every team in NCAA Football 14, as well as ratings for the game’s top 15 players.
Alabama, unsurprisingly, earned the game’s top rating with a 99. Other teams with a rating of 90 or more include: Baylor, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Louisville, Miami (FL), Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Virginia Tech, and Washington.
Alright, here’s the second important conference of the day: EA Sports. Earlier there was a Microsoft conference, which focused mostly on non-sports gaming, so it was a bit dull for us, but this presentation is the meat and potatoes. We’ll be updating this thread continuously, so be friends with the F5 button, or just follow us on Twitter. We should be seeing a ton of next-gen and current day console footage.

Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul just came out to discuss his new Need For Speed movie. Would’ve appreciated some Breaking Bad trailers tbh. More non-sports trailers being featured now.
The first mention of sports gaming, introducing EA Sports’ new Ignite and Frostbite 3 engines, that’ll power their next-gen games. They’re currently talking about Need For Speed: Rivals, something that we don’t cover. So we’re on hold once again.
More non-sports gaming up now, Titanfall, their one of many action shooter games.
EA Sports pres Peter Moore says “the return of favorites like NBA Live”. I guess that’s one way to put it. EA starts off their presentation with Plants vs. Zombies. Well that’s fun. So I guess we’ll be on a bit of a break for the next few mins.
Hearing that EA’s website is down, right before the launch. Talk about bad timing.

EA Sports released their first trailer for FIFA 14 today, featuring gameplay footage on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
From Ralphie and his wranglers leading the Colorado Buffaloes on to the field to the racially insensitive undertones of the Florida Seminoles’ traditions, pre-game runouts have been one of EA Sports’ NCAA Football franchise’s presentation staples over the last couple of instalments. Whether team specific intros were something you liked to sit through before kickoff, or you opted to skip them, it doesn’t really matter anymore. EA has dropped pre-game runouts in favor of music video ‘hype pieces’.
