Here we go. Finally, finally track has begun and with it comes all the fun (rhymes are fun too). A whole slate of action today with the Men’s Shot Put final going at 3:30 pm, the women’s heptathalon (great word) getting under way at 5:05 am and lasting until around 4:30 pm, and the women’s 10,000m final going at 4:25 pm.
Lots of preliminary round women’s basketball action today with the Canadian women squaring off against Brazil at 9:30 am.
We’ve reached the round of 16 in the Men’s 69kg division and Canadian Custio Clayton (triple C! Also, fantastic boxing name) will step into the ring against Australian Cameron Hammond (kind of a rhyme, another good name) at 10:00 am.
The Canadian Women’s team continues their tournament today when they head to the pitch to take on the hometown Great Britain team at 2:30 pm. Should be a good one.
Quite a few finals today in rowing with the Men’s Sculls, Men’s Quadruple Sculls, Men’s Pair and Women’s Quadruple Sculls all going today. The Canadians – David Calder and Scott Frandsen – go for gold in the Men’s Pairs at 5:20 am
As usual, there’s lots of excitement in the pool today with the finals of the Women’s 200m Backstroke at 2:30 pm, the Men’s 100m butterfly at 2:38 pm, the Women’s 800m freestyle at 2:45 pm and the Men’s 50m freestyle at 3:09 pm.

Oh my God! Tramapoline! Trampopoline! Oh yes, there’s trampoline tomorrow. With bonus Canadian, Jason Burnett. It all gets underway at 2:00 pm.
