There are several awesome things about being a baseball blogger for TheScore.com – the super models, the VIP treatment, never getting in trouble for trashing a hotel room – but by far, the best perk is access to the Getty Images archive of baseball photos.

Today, we have photographer Brian Bahr’s capturing of that special moment in time during the 1996 MLB All-Star Game when Bill Cosby met Joe Carter. ¬†Evidence of the meeting rupturing the fabric of time is evidenced by the dead presidents talking to each other in the background.

FYI: ¬†I’m assuming Cosby is laughing because Carter just told him he was only going to put up a .247 OBP for the rest of the season.

  1. This can only be described as … awesome. I can’t decide what my favourite part of this photo is:

    1.) Cosby’s specs
    2.) Carter’s obviously over-laundered pullover
3.) Abe Lincoln in the background

  2. I can’t decide what my favourite part of this photo is, so I’ll just list my Top 3:
    1.) Cosby’s specs
    2.) Carter’s over-laundered pullover
3.) The Abe Lincoln photobomb in the background

  3. Or maybe they were laughing at Carter’s prospective broadcasting career after his retirement.

  4. Cosby’s nautical watch is pretty bad ass too.

  5. Bring back that logo and the Pullovers that is a good look.

  6. jesus christ.
