If you’re going to pull the hidden ball trick, you better come correct and sell the crap out of it like this high school pitcher.

Judging by the Jays base running last night, Farrell better get on this quickly before some other enterprising manager dupes J.P. Arencibia.

  1. Can we please have a lengthy debate now as to whether that was a balk or a pickoff a-la Rookie of the Year? That would be oh-so-much fun!

  2. pretty sure the pitcher isn’t allowed to stand on the rubber if he doesn’t have the ball.

  3. Chris- pitcher is allowed to fake pick off to second.

Grady- pitcher had the ball while standing on rubber.

That was a good one, hadn’t seen it before.

  4. Yeah, that was perfectly legal. You can fake a throw to second or third, just not first. Loved the reaction of the batter too.

  5. Hahaha. Watching just the batter in the video is hilarious.

  6. This is a college team. Carson-Newman College to be precise. Division-II in Tennessee.
