This week, the all powerful Blue Jays blogosphere triumvirate of Drew Fairservice, Dustin Parkes and Andrew Stoeten talk about the Travis Snider demotion, Brett Lawrie’s hype and the downfall of Alex Rios and Vernon Wells. Later, Jonah Keri stops by to talk about the upcoming Jays and Rays series, and takes the time to offer his feelings on militarism in sports after the Osama Bin Laden killing inspired chants of USA! USA! USA! at the Mets / Phillies game Sunday night.

As always, special thanks to Arts & Crafts and The Constantines for being cool enough to associate themselves with us. If you like any of the music you hear in the podcast, it would make us look even cooler if you actually supported the bands that made the songs, and bought their music from the links below.

  1. Headphones at work FTW

  3. Will this podcast eventually be put on itunes?

Also is there a way that you can save this as a podcast? The first one loaded onto my itunes as a song when I copied it. I tried to change it to podcast but I’m too technologically challenged to do so.

  4. Listened to the entire final 35 minutes of silence because I kept expecting some sort of Easter-egg Getting Blanked B-Side.

    No such luck.

  5. either i hate quicktime (i do) or i don’t know how to actually download this and save it. i’ll have to listen to it later, but before the game. ffffffff

  6. Did you catch on fire before you could finish your thought?

  7. I’d love to see the Jays trade for BJ Upton. CF is a huge need for this franchise going forward.

  8. @Fullmer_Fan We have a bunch of potential guys in Lansing/Dunedin/Auburn Etc. Obviously none of them are guaranteed, but it isn’t a glaring need. I’m personally more worried about second base going forward (Jonathan Diaz? For fuck sakes?)

@the podcast I thought I heard/read AA say that scouting was the new inefficiency, much like Billy Beane exploiting OBP.. No link though, and I may be talking out of my ass. (read: porbably)

I literally laughed out loud on the bus going home from work. People were looking at me funny after that.

Thanks for getting the sound fixed this time! You guys have improved an amazing amount since the DJF podcasts. Keep up the great work.
