Happy Draft Day, everybody. The MLB first year player draft simply doesn’t compare well to how the other sports leagues dish out their talent. We’re incredibly unlikely to see many of the players selected playing anywhere close to the Major League level for the next few years, it’s happening at the same time as several actual games and it’s less likely for MLB’s top draft picks to get signed than any other North American sport.

Nonetheless, there’s been a surge of popularity in the last few years for the draft, as baseball fans search for more reasons to celebrate and commiserate their favourite team’s actions.

Starting at 3:00 PM EDT, Getting Blanked’s draft coverage continues with a live stream where we’ll answer your questions and take your comments on this evening’s Rule IV draft.

  1. I continue to be impressed by The Score’s live stream player.

To clarify, by impressed, I mean it has absolutely never worked for me.

  2. Never worked once for me either…on any browser

  3. Never had an issue with it.

  4. The player only works for those it deems worthy of getting streamed on.

  5. Never worked for me either…sometimes I can get audio but usually I just have to wait until it is posted

    • Are you in the US Jake? I’ve never had problems with it…

      • Hey guys, the best thing you can do is ensure you have the latest video drivers/flash player.

If you get audio but no video on a mac, sometimes it’s necessary to disable hardware acceleration within flash player, then restart the browser.

If this doesn’t solve your problems let me know more details about what you’re using, and I’ll make sure IT can clear it up.

  6. Nope, I’m on Firefox 4.0.1

  7. Works fine on the Opera Browser.

  8. I live in Scotland, and the player has never worked for me. I use Chrome, and always have my updates done…is it a regional thing where you need to be in Canada like Hulu for the US?

  9. Not working for me either.
