Catch De Theft

Getting Blanked’s resident persona cool factor, Andrew Stoeten, just posted a YouTube clip of the Hall of Fame parade over at DJF. In the video, Robbie Alomar asks for someone’s jersey on the side of the road, takes it, and then says “thanks for the shirt.”

According to the previous owner of the jersey, he had just purchased it fifteen minutes earlier for $100 and as you can see, was caught dumbfounded by the Hall of Famer’s request.

It’s all completely understandable. I mean, how do you look Robbie Alomar in the face, and say, “No, you can’t have my replica of the jersey you made famous.” But it would’ve been nice of Alomar or someone in his entourage to either give the jersey back or follow up with the guy somehow.

  1. At least he didn’t give you AI…nevermind.

  2. Self censorship. Amazing.

  3. He didn’t steal MY shirt. All he said was, “Thank you Canada.”

    That sucks!
