Roy Oswalt Is Strange

Roy Oswalt is not like you and me. The┬áKosciusko, Mississippi native has been known over the years for being shy and quiet. He’s such a farmboy that he asked for an actual bulldozer from Houston Astros owner Drayton McLane after winning Game Six of the 2005 NLCS. Ever since he came to the Phillies, however, he has turned into a showman.

You might remember when he played left field in the 15th inning of an Astros-Phillies game last year. After he caught a fly ball, he was the happiest person on the planet.

You might also remember his photobombing during a live interview between Phillies pitching coach Rich Dubee and the broadcast team in last year’s NLDS.

Earlier this year, he could be found reenacting his gruesome murder of someone or something, one can only imagine.

Finally, during the ninth inning of Thursday’s Phillies-Brewers affair, Oswalt was found in the dugout… practicing for his new acting role? Perhaps he is teaming up with Dana Carvey?

Oswalt is in competition with Vance Worley for the #4 spot in the Phillies’ playoff rotation, but if you have been watching him recently, you’d think he was on vacation in Hawaii or something. Strange dude.
