Now that we have all that pesky “baseball” out of the way, we can get right into what really matters: pedantic awards arguments!

We asked you, the good readers of Getting Blanked, to supply us with your award winners and we listened, for the most part. Join the stream at 3:30 when we reveal our winners and react to some of our reader selections as well.

  1. My Award for Shortest Game of the Season for a Player

Winner David Cooper for his performance Sept 18, 2011 against the NY Yankees!

    haaaaa yeahhhhhh (crowd cheers)

David Cooper was called in to pinch hit after Eric Thames fouled a ball off his face with a 3-2 count. Cooper walked up to the plate, took ball four, jogged to first and was promptly pulled for pinch runner Dewayne Wise. The game appearance lasted all of 45 seconds. Good game Cooper, now hit the showers!
