So, this is why Tony LaRussa is considered a genius. In the country of the blind, the one eyed man is king.
In the Canadian broadcast last night (MLB International), the insufferable Rick Sutcliffe unequivocally stated that the Cardinals performed “highway robbery” in the 3-way deal that brough them Jackson, Zep, and Dotel. As Yogi Berra once said, all pitchers are liars or crybabies!
Rick Sutcliffe is really, really terrible. He’s approaching Tim McCarver levels.
He is awful. His comment last night that LaRussa was a genius because he put on the hit and run in the first with Pujols at the plate was laughable. He claimed that because Pujols had gone deep the night before, the Brewers would not be expecting the hit and run and it worked perfectly. However, anyone actually watching the game saw Pujols swing through the pitch and would have seen Jay thrown out at second by a mile if Weeks could have just caught the ball. I guess LaRussa just knew the Brewers were going to throw the ball away. In that case GENIUS!!
Haha, I saw that as well. Jay was DOA if Weeks caught the ball. I guess LaRussa is so smart he can see the future, lol.
