Art work, it turns out. This painting of Wilson by Lesley Van Dalsem (coming to us courtesy of the San Francisco Chronicle) was recently accepted to the National Art Museum of Sport.

The NAMOS houses one of the world’s largest collections of sports-inspired art, we’re told, and now features a surprisingly beardless image of the Giants “eccentric” closer.

Hardcore Brian Wilson fans must make the pilgrimage to Indiana if they want to worship before the altar of The Beard. Or they could just turn on their TV at any given moment of the day so Brian Wilson’s Taco Bell commercial can assault their senses.
