This is as close as you’re going to get to a once in a lifetime deal. There aren’t many “Prince Fielder’s” in the game and to give this opportunity up would be a huge disappointment. Not only would this deal make the Blue Jays a better team, but it would also make the city of Toronto a better place. Think about it: 20,000+ more fans every game, a chance to make it deep into the playoffs, just something we Torontonians haven’t experienced in almost twenty years. Jose Bautista isn’t getting any younger, and we need an explosive 3-4-5 lineup. Bautista, Lind, and Lawrie aren’t enough. We need that missing piece. The Toronto Blue Jays would become a household name again if we were to give Prince the contract he wants. This would solidify us as a team for the years to come. I doubt this will do any impact but I guess it doesn’t hurt to try. Thanks for reading, and I hope you take just a little bit of what I said into consideration.
Sincerely, a true Blue Jay fan.
