If the Toronto Blue Jays had a Quadruple A team, their affiliate would be thrilled right now. In addition to acquiring Ben Francisco earlier today, the Blue Jays claimed Minnesota Twins reliever Jim Hoey off waivers.
Despite a 95 miles per hour fastball, Hoey has offered little in the way of value in 61 appearances at the Major League level, walking 12.8% of the batters he’s faced. Although, against right handed batters, he’s fared well in one aspect of the game, striking out 16.7% of the batters he’s faced.

I’m assuming this all preludes Thames and Cooper for Felix Hernandez.
It’s pretty obvious.
You’ll need a hell of a lot more to pry King Felix out of Seattle.
I don’t even know if a package of Deck and Lawrie would even get him out of there…
And ya, I saw the sarcasm….but I had to take the bait.
Maybe you could include Sal Fasano as a 3rd. His invaluable coaching experience could be used in a young Seattle system ;)
They could even try and throw in Zaun from the booth… all mediocre catchers make great managers right?
