Synopsis

To have a chance of winning the Central, the Tigers would need the starters, not named Verlander, to remain consistent all season. The Twins would need Mauer, Morneau and Span to remain on the diamond and off the disabled list. The Indians would need Ubaldo Jimenez to win 20 games and would need Grady Sizemore to return to the lineup healthy. The Royals would need a miracle with the youth movement jumping five years ahead of schedule, and the White Sox would need Jake Peavy to pitch like he’s in Petco again, along with a bounce back year out of Adam Dunn.

2012 Predictions:

Detroit Tigers 96-66
Minnesota Twins 82-80
Cleveland Indians 79-83
Kansas City Royals 75-87
Chicago White Sox 69-93
