The old saw about nobody actually liking the Rays isn’t really true, nor is it fair. That doesn’t stop the torrent of bad Rays attendance jokes from pouring in…pretty much constantly.

Attempts to be fair and balanced don’t change the fact that the Rays aren’t really a popular team on the national scale. Yet here is a kid — in Chicago, of all places — taking in a very cold and windy baseball game bedecked in full Rays regalia. It is jarring, to say the least.

Either way, the Economics Department of the University of Chicago can expect an application from this Process Advocate in about 12-15 years.
