The Baltimore Orioles, still leading the American League East, somehow, someway, may have some bad news coming their way in regards to outfielder Nick Markakis. According to Eduardo Encina on Twitter, Markakis is scheduled to see a hand specialist Thursday, after tweaking something in his wrist during his final at bat Tuesday night against the Blue Jays.

Initial X-Rays came back negative, and it appears in a all likelihood, he will sit out the finale of the three game set in Toronto.
On the season, Markakis has a slash line of .256/.333/.452. His HR/FB ratio also sits at 17%, way up from his average 9.8%. He’s been a reliable player for Baltimore over the years however, missing only five games over the last three seasons.
