Orioles outfielder Nick Markakis, the man who has missed only five games the last three seasons, will be out of action the next three to four weeks with a broken hamate bone.
Markakis broke hammate bone. Surgery tomorrow morning. Not season ending. 3-4 weeks is an estimate

Markakis initially injured his wrist in his last at bat Tuesday against the Blue Jays. X-Rays that night came back negative, but he was scheduled to see a hand specialist today for a second opinion. Surgery will likely be scheduled for Friday.
On the season, he has a slash line of .256/.333/.452 with eight home runs. Ryan Flaherty and his .154/.182/.212 line will take over in right field for the time being.

We’re sure this was Markakis and not Jones?
… shocked…
…
Markakis reminds me of Grady Sizemore.
This is like the first time ever that Markakis has missed significant time. Sizemore sneezes and he pulls something.
