The Texas Rangers have run into the injury bug with their starting rotation, losing Alexi Ogando for four-to-six weeks with a groin strain. He joins starters Derek Holland and Neftali Feliz on the 15-day DL, with all three expected out for an extended period of time.

Ogando, who was making a spot start Sunday against the Giants, was hurt while running to first after a bunt. On the season, he has appeared in 28 games, posting a 1.1 fWAR and 80.2 LOB%. As a starter last season, he recorded a 3.65 FIP in 29 starts.

The Rangers recalled left-hander Michael Kirkman from Triple-A Round Rock to replace Ogando on the roster.

Roy Oswalt, who signed with the Rangers last week, has appeared in two Triple-A games to date, and has allowed five runs in six innings with five strikeouts. He may be ready in two more weeks, but not quite yet. Robbie Ross may be in line for the start Saturday against the Astros.
