  1. Is there some place that can offer me a brief description of pitching stats like FIP? I’m trying to figure out these “new” stats and I need help.

    • The best place is the Fangraphs glossary. We’re thinking about putting together a mini-style guide type thing, does that appeal to you?

      • I think that would be an awesome idea. I know what most of the acronyms and stats mean, but there are some instances where I’m left thinking, “I know that’s a good thing, but I’m not sure why.”

      • Please do that mini-style guide type thing. It would be amazing.

It’s annoying to not know what these stats are and perhaps the onus is on me (the reader) but I think you would greatly enhance the knowledge of your readership.

On top of what you guys already have to do, it’s a lot of work to do the mini-style guide (I need to stop calling it that; it sounds so weird). But, I promise to read every single one if you do.
