With a week until baseball’s non-waiver trade deadline, general managers for all 30 clubs are keeping their cell phone companies happy in hopes of making a deal to help their club for now or the future. From now until the July 31st deadline, we here at Getting Blanked will have you covered each day with the latest rumours from around the league.
After weeks of hearing Justin Upton rumours, it appears his departure from the desert is on hold for the moment, after team president Derrick Hall released the following:
There’s close to a 100 percent chance nothing happens with Upton between now and the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline. I would be completely shocked if anything were to happen. On the season, Upton has a .276/.362/.412 slash line with eight home runs in 89 games for the snakes.
