Being on the cover of Sports Illustrated used to be a much bigger deal than it is now. I suppose the shift in importance is a result of a medium that seems redundant to a younger generation used to acquiring information immediately at our own leisure, instead of waiting for it week by week. However, with the latesst issue sporting the American League leader in all things awesome in all of his awesomeness on the cover, it’s likely worth a mention, and maybe even, for the first time in at least five years, a purchase.

And as Drew Fairservice notes, being Supernatural is a heck of a lot better than merely being Natural.

  3. Yes, Sports Illustrated, someone can be that good, and his name is Mike Trout. It’s crazy to think that Francoeur was actually once good.
