The Winter Meetings remain quiet in regards to the bigger name free agents, although a few left-handed relievers have reportedly found new homes.

The St. Louis Cardinals have signed Randy Choate to a three year contract. The 37-year-old pitched for the Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Dodgers last season, posting a 3.03 ERA / 3.25 FIP and 3.64 xFIP in 80 appearances. The lefty specialist had a 62.1% ground ball rate in 38 2/3 innings. The club still has left hander Marc Rzepczysnki on their projected roster for 2013.

The Los Angeles Angels added arguably the best free agent left-hander on the market, signing Sean Burnett to a two year deal with a club option.

Burnett recorded a 2.38 ERA / 2.79 FIP in 70 games last year for the Washington Nationals with a 9.05 K/9. Burnett held left-handed bats to a .211/.245/.289 line and joins the recently signed Ryan Madson and Ernesto Frieri in the Angels bullpen. MLBTR had Burnett ranked as the 47th best free agent on their top 50 list.
