Andres Torres spent three years with the San Francisco Giants organization before he was traded to the New York Mets for Angel Pagan in December of 2011. Now the Giants have both Pagan and Torres. The club elected to bring Torres back into the fold with a one-year $2 million guaranteed deal, just weeks after signing Pagan to a hefty four-year, $40 million contract.

The 34-year old enjoyed a career year in the Bay in 2010, hitting .268/.343/.479 with 16 home runs and 26 stolen bases. While it’s unfathomable that Torres will be the 6.9 fWAR player he was at the height of his last tour through San Francisco, he projects as a reliable fourth outfielder with a strong glove and some wheels, too.

Torres had 434 plate appearances with the Mets last season. He hit .230/.327/.337 with 3 home runs and 13 stolen bases.
