Philadelphia Phillies v Miami Marlins

When single game tickets go on sale, you usually see a pretty good crowd show up on the first day, with the fans full of hope and promise.

Not the case apparently in Miami, where four fans showed up 30 minutes before to beat the rush.

To review, the Marlins roster compared to the end of last season will not have Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson, Mark Buehrle, John Buck, Heath Bell or Emilio Bonifacio to name a few.

At least they still have Giancarlo Stanton. For the time being anyways.

  1. How about we just give them their pick of 5 guys in the system for Stanton.

The probably won’t pick anyone good anyway.

  2. I mean as a Jays fan I’m very happy with what happened, but I feel really bad for the true Marlins fans through all this. My cousins have been season ticket holders since 1993, and they actually know Loria personally. They are so angry and betrayed, especially given their personal relationship with Loria and co. I’m not sure if they gave up their 2013 seasons, but if it was me I would have. I wonder if they’ll even crack 1 million this year.
