Arizona Diamondbacks v Atlanta Braves

Cleveland Indians pitcher “Trev B. The First Based God” does things differently than your average Major League Baseball player. He releases his own super slow motion YouTube videos showing off his pitching mechanics, he spouts off in heavy doses about his approach, he engages in a sideshow of sorts with his pre-game warmup routine, and he raps. Bauer has shared his flows with the masses in the past, releasing a track titled “Consummate 4sight” last summer.

Bauer’s divorce from the Arizona Diamondbacks was less than amicable. Rumours of infighting with his teammates and coaches gained some traction this week when his former catcher, Miguel Montero, pulled no punches in criticizing the precocious hurler’s seemingly stubborn approach to pitching. Perhaps in an effort to eschew firing petty insults through the media, Bauer opted to craft a little thinly veiled diss track. “You Don’t Know Me” does not mention Montero or any Diamondbacks players by name, but it seems fairly apparent who the target is here.

Bauer denied that the track is aimed at Montero and the Diamondbacks, telling Jordan Bastian of MLB.com that it’s actually intended for “Twitter haters”. Ok then.

So yeah, that’s not very good. Frankly, I think I could have helped Bauer in the lyrics department. Here’s what I came up with this morning:

Yes, blogging is just my day job and I’m a rapper at night.
